My Bioluminescent Wave pin is based on the natural phenomena that occurs in ocean waters around the world. An exceedingly rare occurrence, these bright blue glowing waves are brought upon by large masses of bioluminescent phytoplankton that emit light when disturbed. The crashing of the surf or the splashing of the water causes unfathomable amount of gathered phytoplankton to glow with a beautiful blue light.
My Bioluminescent Wave pin measures 2" wide and tall and features glow-in-the-dark hard enamels that glow with a bluish-green or green light depending on the darkness of the room. The gold metal plating is polished to a mirrored finish and the palm tree designs cast dark silhouettes against the glowing blue waves.
